GURNEE, ILLINOIS – Vantage Specialties, Inc. (Vantage™ of Company), has increased production for hand sanitizer and ingredients used in surface cleaners and disinfectants as demand for hand sanitizer and ingredients used in surface cleaners and disinfectants as demand for sanitation and cleaning supplies intensifies to help combat the coronavirus outbreak. The Company is also currently redeploying equipment, workers and resources at its facilities to produce drum-sized barrels of hand sanitizer for the U.S. Armed Forces, airlines and other institutional users.
“These products are more necessary than ever to protect workers on the front lines, keep Americans healthy and stop the spread of coronavirus,” said Drew Richardson, Vice President of Manufacturing. “Vantage™ employees are working around the clock to get these critical products off our production lines and into the hands of people who need them most.”
In addition to the production out of the Gurnee facility, Vantage™ has a plant in Dayton, Ohio that produces ingredients for personal care sanitizers and other cleaning supplies. The Company’s affiliated operations in Chicago produces glycerin which is a key component in many sanitizer formulations. The Gurnee manufacturing plant along with affiliated operations in Pennsylvania and Colorado produce ingredients for the food and baked goods industry.
